Love The Children Foundation (LTCF) is located in Davao City, Philippines and is a home for abandoned, orphaned, and runaway street children. The Philippines has over 1.5 million children living in her streets and LTCF is working to meet the need one child at a time. LTCF was started in March 1999 by Cindy and Tony Chua (residents of the Philippines). After ministering to a group of rugby boys (addicted to sniffing glue) who were living on the street, Cindy and Tony invited the boys to come home with them. They boys did and LTCF was founded. Today LTCF is a registered foundation with the Philippine government and works in cooperation with the Department of Social Welfare and  Development. LTCF is a Christian home providing food, clothing, shelter, education, and health care. In just 4 years of existence LTCF has helped over 200 children in both it’s temporary and permanent care programs.  It is LTCF’s goal to expand it’s reach and to rescue even more children from the harsh realities of the street.

THE LTCF HOME

Since it’s inception LTCF has housed it’s children in various rental facilities throughout Davao City. In June 2002 a great celebration took place as LTCF  moved into their new home. The construction of this facility was sponsored by Caltex Philippines.  Thank you Caltex.

THE LTCF CHOSEN

LTCF wants to give it’s children the best education possible to prepare them for life’s endeavors. CHOSEN is LTCF’s own kindergarten and first grade learning center held every school day on the LTCF grounds. The learning center’s classes are not only attended by the children of LTCF, but also by a selected group of children from the surrounding community. These community children are the poorest of the poor. Unable to afford public education, CHOSEN learning center is their only hope for schooling.

THE CHILDREN

Meet the children of Love The Children Foundation. Each one has a unique background and story that would cause tears to come to most eyes. They have either been abandoned, neglected, orphaned, and/or abused my those who should have sheltered and protected them. Today, though, they are  loved, fed, clothed, and educated by Love The Children Foundation. We hope you enjoy meeting them!

THE FOUNDERS

In 1996 Cindy Chua began to feel a calling to help the street children in her city. By 1999 she sensed an intense degree of urgency that “NO” and “LATER” were no longer acceptable answers. She and her husband Tony founded LTCF in March of that year. Cindy is the Executive Director of LTCF. Cindy and Tony have two daughters, Elane and Mariel.
