believe that our neighbor is both the person next door and the person across
the ocean, and that each of us has a responsibility to take ACTION in our
global neighborhood. In a world filled with overwhelming concerns of war,
terrorism, hunger, disease…what action can one person take to really make a
difference?
We invite you to join our ARMY of COMPASSION in our daily pursuit of

I felt every
bump in the road as the old, dilapidated taxi moved slowly
through the thick traffic. Having lived in the Philippines for
3 years, I didn’t really notice the heat and stickiness of the
night. I was used to it. Also, an occasional wind
through the open windows would cool the taxi as we picked up
speed in a lighter area of traffic. My backseat window where I
was sitting was broken though and wouldn’t go down. (Read
